Living for others

In this busy world, we all run behind achieving several goals in our life- it can be personal, financial, career and many more. And that’s how we live our life, which is something that we are supposed to do and we do it. But I am surprised seeing that these goals are never achieved……because these goals are never ended. Once one goal is achieved, another one appears and it continues. People need more and more, how much ever they get they are not satisfied with that. They accumulate enough wealth, enough assets but still they want more. And finally they ended up their life living only for themselves.

On the other hand, we spend a lot of money engaging ourselves in several events which may not necessarily be required. We spend a lot of money only to purchase a precious gift for our girlfriend/wife to make them happy. We spend a lot to live a luxury life.

Can we rewind our mind and ask few questions to ourselves? Is it really a better way to live our life? Does this life really give us actual happiness? Does this life really make sense? These questions may look like awkward to some, but I request them, please think twice.

Can’t we live our life in a better way? Can’t we get more happiness with a nature of sacrificing things to others? Can’t we set our financial goals to a certain limit and forgo the rest to others? Can’t we share our wealth to some people who really need it rather than spending unnecessarily? Can't we forgo some of our assets to poor people rather than living a luxury life? Can’t we make our life more valuable by living for others?

Answers to these questions are known to everyone, still we live our life for ourselves and restrict ourselves from the actual happiness of life, restrict ourselves from feeling proud to be a human.

‘Only a life lived for others is a life worth living- Albert Einstein’.
